The smaller barrel offers a faster evolutive dimension to the cocktail. Each week, the tasting gives a new experience.
The cocktail can be bottled at any chosen moment, and the barrel can be reused.
The barrel is delivered with an instruction leaflet. $480, before taxes.

 

AN INNOVATIVE PRODUCT, A FIRST IN QUEBEC

Designed and fabricated entirely in Montreal.
This unique elixir is poured directly from an American Oak charred Barrel featured on the bar.
A creation of 1769 Distillery master distiller, Andrew Mikus, and of our award-winning chef bar and general manager Maximilliano Vallée Valletta.
Served in all Les Enfants Terribles restaurants.

A unique product

As the cocktail sits in the barrel, it becomes more complex, mellow and balanced with a slight peppery flavour, smothered by the rich sweetness of Quebec maple syrup. “We now have a way to offer our customers an aged, ultra-premium local craft cocktail, made by a Montreal urban micro-distillery”, says Maximilliano. “This is a first for Montreal and we are proud to work with 1769 Distillery on innovating the cocktail scene.”

Locally sourced

We are proud to say that we can now provide bars and restaurants in Quebec what other establishments all over the world can do, without leaving a large carbon footprint. We distill, blend and package all of our products at our distillery, which is just 5 minutes from the Atwater Market. Everything is transported by the SAQ from our warehouse in Verdun, directly to the SAQ warehouse in east-end Montreal”, states Andrew. Provincial regulations restrict bartenders from batching cocktails on the bar, however 1769 Distillery in Montreal has found a solution by creating and packaging the cocktail at the distillery, which is located in Verdun. The kegs are purchased by licensees through the private importation channel of the SAQ.

About 1769 Distillery

Since 2014, Montreal’s 1769 Distillery has been producing handcrafted, small-batch spirits, as-well-as barrel aging gin, Canadian Whisky and maple syrup. It’s award-winning MVodka and Madison Park™ London Dry Gin are available in two sizes at the SAQ network of stores. Madison Park Barrel-Aged Gin will be released at the SAQ in October. In addition, 1769 will be the first Quebec distillery to launch it’s 3-year old Canadian Whisky by early 2018. Other aged cocktail creations, designed and created by 1769 Distillery, will be released in select bars soon.
